Brain full of leeks

Kolachi and hedge apples at the farmers market this AM.
Lovin the Russian influence. Who knew.
Another surprise that one would never guess of NE.
And on the subject of who knew, apparently eggplant has nicotene in it
And it brings me back to all of the different markets I've seen...
From the king and queen of fruit in Thailand (durian and mangosteen) to crickets and betel nuts in Cambodia.
The care with which this woman prepared this narcotic in the little betel leaf packet with a smearing of lime paste and fresh chopped coconut was a sight you never forget. Then again, neither were all of the toothless folks as a result!

Oxygen Optional for the 1/30K

I commit to 70.3
The where when and how to come.

The why...

Is of course why not.

Additionally there are roughly 6 and a half billion people in the world. Only 30,000 do an IM. That's less than 1/every 2 million.

And as far as repetitive and irrational little quirky robot behaviors, I may as well put them to good use.

And frankly, there isn't much else to do in NE, yet.

Quirky little robot

Tin,
Oh element of surprise...
I shall not forget you anytime soon.
I guard myself, indeed.
From the reality I've yet to escape and the cowardly grasp onto all things genius.
Fantastic fancies and fears of my single lonely intellect.

My HD cat seems to hate Nebraska

But my ecosphere shrimp who traveled here in the cup holder of a smart car, seem to love it.

Terminator Gene?

Terminator gene?
What?
I'm so disgusted!
Solution: Monsanto engineered and patented genes that terminate crops at the end of a season.
Problem: Legal disputes over transcrops creeping from one field to another. Or farmers stealing. Hard to say

Bigger Problem/Paradox: Poverty
I simply can't digest this!
